Rapper AKA is not the type pf celebrity that keep his views to himself or what he feels. The rapper has set tongue waggling again after getting a “Madiba piece” after initially wanting a “Jesus Piece”
The rapper wrote on social media about his new necklace pendant, “I asked @stinothejeweler @schofieldandco for a Jesus piece, because I wanted to keep it classic. Then I thought hey, Mandela is almost like Jesus to us in this part of the ???? So why not make a “Madiba’s Piece””
He told Timeslive the reason he went with a Madiba Piece instead of Jesus Piece. “Mandela is an icon and I wanted to show that. Instead of getting the Jesus piece, which is a timeless classic in hip-hop, I thought: ‘let me challenge the designers and make something unique but with a similar message,” AKA said.
The rapper also refused to say how much it cost him to create the new jewelry. Check out the result below
