A-Reece woke SA celebs on social media over his tweet, questioning why the industry keep artists in debt.
The rap star has being observant of the industry’s hitch and he couldn’t help but voice out. Celebs like Saudi, Skolopad and others, gave a share of their thought to the question.
Reece’ tweet, “Why’s the industry designed to keep the artist in debt?”
However, most of the responses to his question wasn’t favourable to him, as the industry wasn’t blamed, rather the artists were blamed for their flashy spending.
Cuz u hv ALL da power bt if we financially frustrate u we can control u. Lloyd Price (Look em up) told Don King he must b bigger dan da fighters in boxing (ju lyk da labels was bigger dan artists in da 60’s) in order 4 him 2 hv ALL da power & da?. If we unionize t’s ovr 4 dem. https://t.co/goaZYHABRI

Not only that – we are unable to insure our voices – our tool for our craft. No medical insurance insures voices in SA https://t.co/Ul52B2u5sm

Stay Humble. Save money. Invest in business. Don’t spend on things you don’t really need. Pay your taxes.

It’s a good strategy behind some PR agencies. They exploit artists of their money. You get flossed with all the lavish lifestyle that you don’t own. And then one day when you finally speak up they take it all away from you, bad name you and flush you down like you never existed.
