Boity accused of stealing Bakae

Boity is dragged into hot water, as she’s being accused of stealing her latest single, Bakae.

A UK based female rapper and Youtuber, Karen Francis revealed in a post that Boity stole her song flow and structure.

South African news site, All4Women, reached out to Karen where she made the claims that, Boity stole her song titled Cake and twisted it into Bakae.

The SA female rapper was also accused last year of not owning her first single, Wuz Dat as it was said that Nasty C whom she featured on the song, prolly gave her the lyrics.

Speaking to All4Women, Karen said:

“I listened to Bakae and I was in a completely state of shock because I recognised so many elements of the song instantly. I could recognise my signature and my structure on Boity’s verses. I’m a songwriter and I can write a song in minutes. I took time to really structure that song [Cake] to really put my signature on it and show a part of me that people are not acquainted.”
