Music mogul Arthur Mafokate has revealed that he suffered from depression and humiliation following an assault trial raised by his ex girlfriend Busisiwe Twala popularly known as Cici.

He told Tshisalive in a recent interview that he lost contracts, monies and a chance to contest for the Treasurer-general position at CCIFSA (Cultural and Creative Industries Federation of South Africa).

“My kids were humiliated by their friends as a result of this case. One day I went to a restaurant and I found a group of women eating, but then they left when I sat down a few paces away from them. I have gone through all this for something I never did,” he told the news agency.

Arthur Mafokate has since been acquitted of assault charges. His lawyer Daniel Nakeng told newsmen last week that his client’s dignity has been taken away. “He has mixed feelings as a lot of time and dignity has been taken away from him and it would take many years to rebuild,” Daniel said.

Cici however has said she will fight till the very end and will open a civil lawsuit against Arthur.
