12 new cases have been recorded in the education system. Seven are teachers, three are grade 7 pupils, one is a principal and another an office-based employee.
Spokesperson Elias Malindi confirmed that the alleged schools have since been closed.
MEC for education in the province Maphefo Matsemela expresses her condolense to those affected by the virus. She as well stated that the department will continue to render them their full support.
