Rapper Pitch Black Afro sentenced to 10 years in prison


SA rapper, Pitch Black Afro, whose real name is Thulani Ngcobo was found guilty of culpable homicide; Hence, sentenced to 10 years imprisonment.

The artist will spend less than three years in prison because he has already spent one year and five months while on trial, and half of his 10 years suspended.

On Thursday, Judge J Du plessis said Ngcobo had not planned to kill Modisane.

“I cannot find beyond reasonable doubt that the accused planned to kill the deceased,” he said.

Du plessis said they were intoxicated and the rapper violently reacted to the deceased during an argument.
