On Monday night a woman and her daughter both died in a wildfire in Bethelsdorp.
The blaze broke out in the Danny Jordaan informal settlement in Bloemendal. It is unknown how the fire started.
It was said that at about 10pm, neighbors of the Danny Jordaan informal settlement in Bloemendal, heard a frightening scream for help, when they went outside they saw the house on fire.
After suffering from severe fire burn, the deceased are yet to be identified and police are yet to trace their next of kin.
The woman is approximately 30-years-old, and her daughter 3-year-old.
