AKA announces being positive of coronavirus in an official statement released on Friday afternoon.
Taking to social media, the South African rapper said he chose to make the result public in other to create awareness.
“Multi award-winning South African musician, AKA, has tested positive for the novel COVID-19 virus,” the statement partly reads.
He hopes everyone observe social distancing and every other preventive measures.
AKA says he is willing to share his recovery process.
“AKA will therefore be sharing his recovery journey with everyone whilst in self isolation as he aims to be as transparent as possible about his journey with COVID-19.”
Fans and other celebs wished him well, hoping he recovers on time.
