South Africa has had less than 10,000 new COVID-19 cases for the second consecutive day.
The Department of Health has reported more than 10,000 new cases since July 9, but that trend was put to a halt on Monday.
The confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa is 381,798 with 8,170 new cases.
The other positive trend is the recovery rate that is now at 54 percentage.
This interprets that more than 200,000 people have already recovered after testing positive.
There were further 195 COVID-19 related deaths reported by the health department: 74 from the Eastern Cape, 48 from the Western Cape, 43 in Gauteng, and 30 in KZN.
Since the outbreak began, more than 2.5 million tests have been conducted.
