Two women have been arrested for being in possession of steroids.
The task team found steroids worth an estimated R3m after an intelligent-driven investigation led them to the two women.
According to Hawks spokesperson, Col Katlego Mogale, they were arrested during a search and seizure operation in three different premises. in Pretoria East on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old woman was arrested at Silver Lakes Estates after a task team discovered that steroids were allegedly manufactured on the site.
The other 35-year-old woman was arrested at Willow Acres Estates after more steroid enhancers were found in her possession.
Mogale also confirmed that the team recovered more packaged steroids enhancer in a storage facility in Meerlust street, Equestria.
The steroids, labels and other packaging materials recovered were valued to worth over R3m.
Mogale said that they have been seized and the women involved are in custody.
The two women are expected to appear in the Pretoria magistrate’s court on Thursday.
