Majority of the employees in SABC newsroom (the largest operation at the broadcaster) are expected to be affected by the impending job cuts.


This led to the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) applying for R1.5 billion in COVID-19 relief due to the pandemic affecting revenues for most media outlets.
