The United Kingdom has recorded new cases, after the government reported a record of 1,288 new positive cases on Saturday.


A day earlier, the positive cases were at 1,033.

After the new cases were recorded, the government ramped up testing of coronavirus in order to curb the spread of the virus and alleviate restrictions that have paralysed the economy.
