Deputy President David Mabuza has confirmed his availability for the questioning session by the national council of provinces this week.
David Mabuza cancelled his appearance on two separate occasions after it was disclosed that he was ill.
He revealed that he is not just back from his sick leave but he is fully back to respond to every pending questioning session and to face members of the National Council of Provinces this week and take oral questions.
Mabuza postponed his questioning session in the National Assembly earlier due to reported ill health.
During the ANC’s National Executive Committee briefing which held on Monday evening, Mabuza addressed the circumstances surrounding his health.
He refuted death claims that went viral. He said he was in fact very much alive.
“I was in a very difficult situation, falling ill. My health situation is improving, so I am grateful that I survived.”
“Some of our people already were circulating information that I am dead. Well, I am still alive.”
He commended President Cyril Ramaphosa for pushing through though times in his absential.
“The ANC did well since Nasrec to date,” he said, before disclosing that he had only been back at work for ten days.
“My condition is improving,” he confirmed.
