A security guard and a 34-year-old sergeant stationed at the Tshilwavhusikhu police station in Limpopo have been arrested in connection to an armed robbery at a filling station.

The filling station in Modambidzha was attacked on August 13.

Police spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, said “the sergeant, who is also a detective, was arrested on Sunday morning, together with a security officer for armed robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery”.

Mojapelo explained that the sergeant was arrested after the police carried out thorough investigations on this matter.
