Limpopo school principal arrested for allegedly conspiring to murder his wife

A 49-year-old school principal have been arrested for allegedly conspiring to murder his 43-year-old wife.

Police in Hlanganani outside Giyani in Limpopo made this arrest.


Police spokesperson, Moatshe Ngoepe said on the 16th of July, the principal at a high school in Tanana Pulani in Bungeni Village allegedly told a local man to help him kill his wife and get paid in return.

“The wife got information about her husband’s intentions. The police were informed, started with the initial investigations and the suspect was arrested.”

The husband will appear in the Hlanganani Magistrate’s Court soon and face a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.

Shocked by the actions of the husband, Limpopo police commissioner, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba condemned the acts of gender-based violence across the province “in the strongest possible terms”.

Investigations are currently ongoing.
