The family of Nathaniel Julies – the Eldorado Park teenager that was allegedly shot dead by police officers will be put to rest on Saturday.
On Tuesday night, the family confirmed the burial arrangements after a meeting was held. The burial arrangements include a night vigil at home for public to pay their respects.
“On Thursday night we will have a memorial near the Hillbrow Flats for the people to come there. On Saturday, after the viewing at home, we will go to the church, and then we will go the gravesite,” said Julies’ stepfather, Clint Smith.
Nathaniel Julius was only a 16-year old boy that had Down Syndrome. His death made the country call for immediate and stronger action to be taken against police cruelty.
However, the arrest of three officers in connection to Julies’ death have been made.
