Thandeka Mdeliswa’s death brought sadness to the faces of a lot of her fans and South Africans as a whole.
Thandeka died in a Pretoria hospital on Saturday after being shot in Evander, Mpumalanga, last Thursday.
However, many of the celebrities in South Africa took to social media to pay tribute to the late actress.
According to her family members, her murder was described as an act of gender-based violence.
Many people showed their disappointment as they felt the act of gender-based violence should have been resolved.
Cassper Nyovest on the other hand shares his outrage on the murder of Thandeka.
Cassper added his voice to the anger, asking when President Cyril Ramaphosa would take serious action to fight the scourge of femicide in the country.
He wrote on Twitter: “Every day I log into this app there’s a woman or child raped, missing or dead. The men who are supposed to be the leaders are too quiet and too comfortable! There’s only so much one can do as a citizen, nje. The president needs to act! He needs to show up! Men need to act now!”
He went ahead to post a picture of Thandeka ans asked “how many more? women needed to be killed before those in power took action.
