In the past 24 hours, the Health Department have recorded over 2,000 new COVID-19 cases in South Africa.
Ninety-seven more people have been reported dead after contracting coronavirus. This takes the death toll to 15,265.
The Health Department have reported 2,007 new COVID-19 infections over the past 24 hours, this takes the total number of cases in South Africa to over 644,000.
The recovery rate has rounded up to 88.9 percent which means over 573,000 people have recovered so far from coronavirus.

As of today, a cumulative total of 644 438 confirmed #COVID19 cases in SA have been recorded with 2 007 new cases identified. Number of tests done is 3 863 453 with 20 555 new tests done.
