British actress, Diana Rigg whose decades-long acting career spanned 1960s spy series “The Avengers,” classical theater and “Game of Thrones,” has died aged 82.
According to her daughter and actress, Rachael Stirling state that she died of cancer.
Diana was diagnosed with the disease in March this year.
“It is with tremendous sadness that we announce that Dame Diana Rigg died peacefully early this morning.”
“She was at home with her family who have asked for privacy at this difficult time,” her agent Simon Beresford said in a statement.
Many mourns the death of the legend as they felt she was too good to have died.
May her soul rest in perfect peace.
