The recoveries in South Africa now stand at 576,423; this translates to a recovery rate of 88.9%
On Saturday, the Health Department confirmed the total number of COVID-19 cases in South Africa, which was a total of 648,214, with a record of 1,816 new cases.
The Health Department recorded 49 more COVID-19 related cases which brings the death toll to a total of 15,427.
Majority of the fatalities recorded come from the Western Cape and Gauteng.
