Dead body of suspected thief found dead after missing for nine days

The police has found the dead body of one of the men suspected of stealing from a filling station in the south of Johannesburg. This is after he went missing nine days ago and his body had been dumped in Kliprivier, Sebokeng.


The other is battling for survival in the hospital.

It was reported that the two men were caught close to a school after stealing from the filling station. They were allegedly apprehended and taken by security guards from the filling station.

They actually went missing for nine days until Friday when they were both found.

Gauteng police spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters made the confirmation that a murder case had been opened.

Police from Kliprivier opened a murder case for investigation after the body of an unknown male was found in an open veld in Kliprivier. The unknown person has since been identified as one of the two kidnapped victims reported missing at Eldorado Park,” Peters said.

Investigations are underway to establish if the five suspects, initially arrested for kidnapping of two male victims, could be linked to the murder,” Peters said.

The five suspects – a female and four males are expected to come before the Lenasia Magistrate’s Court today on charges of kidnapping.
