An unbranded state vehicle gut fire on Monday morning.
The driver of the vehicle said he noticed that smoke was entering the car before the flames eventually consumed the vehicle.
Fortunately for him, he was unhurt.
The fire incident happened at the Durban magistrate’s court’s entrance on Stalwart Simelane Street in Durban’
Life Response paramedics were alerted to what they believe was an accident scene but found a single vehicle on fire.
Life Response paramedics spokesperson, Leon Fourie said “we found that a Citi Golf was well alight. It was a state vehicle.”
“Fortunately nobody was injured and eThekwini Fire arrived quickly on the scene to extinguish the blaze.”
The cause of the fire is not known yet.

In another news, a bus was destroyed by fire in Durban on Monday morning.
The burning bus was seen outside a school on Inanda Road in Durban.
According to the Durban Metro police spokesperson, senior superintendent Parboo Sewpersad, the fire started in the engine at the back of the bus and eventually took over the bus.
However, no injury or death was reported.
