Pitso Mosimane resigns as Sundowns coach

Mamelodi Sundowns coach – Pitso Mosimane has decided to resign as the Brazilians coach to join one of the Northern African outfits.

According to reports, Egyptians giants – Al Ahly have shown interest in Mosimane to take the place of Rene Weiler as their next head coach.


Last month, Mosimane succeeded in winning his fifth South African championship with Sundowns.

The 56-year old will start his new job whenever he is available, which is soon.

According to earlier reports, Al Ahly wanted to sign Italian Luciano Spalleti.

Besides, Ahly president – Mahmoud El Khatib is a huge fan of Mosimane.

El Khatib was part of the first to congratulate when Jingles won three cups for the Brazilians.

The also won the Nedbank Cup to the Telkom Knockout and Absa Premiership titles which they had won initially.
