Following sexual harassment claims made against Democratic Alliance (DA) Gauteng interim leader Solly Msimanga, he said he is taking the case against him seriously and he is willing to take a public lie detection test to prove that he his innocent.
Msimanga also questioned the timing of the sexual harassment claims made by fellow party member, Nkele Molapo.
Molapo claimed she was harassed by Msimanga and came out to make it known six years after the alleged abuse.
Msimanga laid a crimen injuria case against her.
He said while she was working with him, she had never about mentioned being harassed.
“I cannot just sit quietly and be judged by the court of public opinion.”
“I need to make sure that the processes are being followed and I need to make sure my name is being cleared.”
“I’m not just doing this for me, I’m doing it for my children,” he said.
