On Friday morning, robbers in three vehicles took over a cash-in-transit (CIT) vehicle on Ontdekkers Road, Johannesburg. This was reported according to preliminary reports.
The alleged robbers murdered a tow truck driver and sped off, Gauteng traffic police confirmed.
The robbery happened at around 8 am.

The two truck drivers tried tracking down the robbers when they sped off so as to alert the police of their whereabouts, said anti-crime Yusuf Abramjee.
Vision Tactical said the suspects were on voyage in three vehicles and set a bomb to a cash van.
