Evacuation occurred at Sandton City in Johannesburg following a bomb threat on Saturday evening.
The management of the mall reported that a telephonic bomb threat was received at 17:45 on Saturday.
“The safety and security of shoppers and tenants is of the utmost importance to Sandton City, and all security protocols have been put in place,” said management in a tweet.
Following the telephonic bomb threat that was received on Saturday, the 24th of April 2021 at 17h35, and the immediate evacuation of Sandton City; an all-clear has been received from the South African Police Service and Bomb Squad, and normal trading has resumed. 1/3
