It has been over a year since work from home became a part of our lives. While it has been a boon for many of us who hated the long travel hours, it has also resulted in many bad habits for many of us.

It has diminished the line between personal and professional and led to people sitting in front of the laptop well past office hours.

Furthermore, many of us have developed several toxic habits. Here is a look at a few of them.

1. Waking up to work

While working from home, many of us have gotten into the habit of waking up minutes before work. This leaves us with absolutely no time to mentally prepare ourselves for the day. This affects the quality of our work as well. Thus, you should leave some time between waking up and working in order to calm your senses.

2. Being sedentary

Any form of physical exercise is important to stay fit. However, work from home has limited us to working while sitting for a major part of the day without any exercise. Though this may not have an immediate effect, in the long term it may have some severe health-related consequences.

3. Avoiding kids and family members

Along with you, even your kids and family members are restricted inside the four walls of your home. With you working for long hours, they feel neglected and lonely, which may take the form of them disturbing you every now and then. Thus, do check on your kids and other family members.

4. Working in bed

Yes, there is no bigger comfort than your own cozy bed. However, you are more likely to feel tired and lazy in bed than on a table and chair. Moreover, it affects your back health too. So, try to work on a table and a good quality ergonomic chair.

5. Never logging off

Due to excessive workload, fear, or various other reasons, many of us are either working or thinking about it 24/7. Over a long period of time, this could result in many physical and mental issues. It can also distance you from your family and friends.
