So much so that the busy work schedule has ruined the relationships of numerous people.

1. You are avoiding the realities of your relationship

You are noticing your partner rolling their eyes at you or even shunning you in the bedroom – still you ignore these signals and do not address these concerns. When this is happening, it’s obvious you are not being truthful about the state of your relationship.

2. You put work priorities ahead of your relationship

If you find yourself opting out of activities you would normally engage in with your spouse such as going to a movie, visiting friends, or just enjoying time together, you could be placing undue pressure on the relationship which will affect it negatively.

3. ​Your partner is desperate for change

When your partner is giving you ultimatums, or actively expressing their concerns, it’s a clear indicator that they need more of your time. In most cases, people won’t threaten to end a relationship until they have reached a breaking point and they can’t handle it anymore.

4. You have nothing to talk to them about except work

If you literally have nothing to talk about with your spouse other than work, then this is a bad sign. If you have trouble segregating work and personal life, you likely will go into discussions about colleagues and office projects without even realizing it.

If you are carrying home stress with you from the office, then you may become more irritable and end up taking it out on your partner in totally and completely unrelated areas. It’s essential to find a way to detox your stress so you aren’t sacrificing your love connection in the process.

6. ​Work is affecting your energy and attitude

After an extremely hectic day at work, chances are there that you will have very little energy left. When you work in a negative environment where your boss doesn’t treat you well and your co-workers are toxic, you are left depleted and negative. Over time, this becomes a part of your routine behavior.

7. ​You don’t feel like socializing

If you are beginning to feel that your mind is in some far-off place, it’s not a good sign at all. If you are preoccupied with work once you get home, or even into the weekend, you may deprive yourself of normal social activities with your partner.
