The one word that has the power to change marriages

on

Year after year, marriage becomes monotonous. Couples face each other doing the same things, whether it’s about making the same mistakes or arguing about that one issue every time.

And when marriages face an inevitable halt to their blissful married life, everything can start to go wrong.

Blame games and misunderstandings can destroy a marriage within a few seconds. After all, words hurt. But have you thought about what can change such a situation in marriages?

Ownership

Accountability is taking responsibility. The latter is always a necessary aspect in life decisions, relationships or careers. Taking responsibility or taking ownership of for your actions is always the best way out of a problem.

The lack of accountability in marriage

When in a relationship, couples hardly focus on solving their issues, but rather focus on catering to their own ego. Couples are also quick to blame each other for their mistakes, which causes a greater rift in the relationship. And in the process, accountability loses its stance.

Change in behaviour

Sometimes, even if partners apologise, they don’t change their behaviour. This can be even more frustrating because knowing that your partner refuses to acknowledge that they are wrong can complicate the situation further.

Deal breaker

If your partner is saying one thing and doing something else, then it’s a huge deal-breaker. You shouldn’t have to endure such dishonesty and lack of effort because these are some of the biggest factors that bind a relationship.

Finding a balance

In a relationship, there should always be a balance between you and your partner. Shifting the blame is going to do you no good, but will only boost your ego. But, being accountable for your mistakes will make you a better person and might also save your relationship from breaking up.
