Some of them have been found by studies to lower the progress of most drugs in the body but the problem is that a lot of people don’t even know these things we should not take while on medication.

So in this article, I am going to be talking about 4 things you should not take while on medication.

1. Alcohol

Alcohol really has a serious side effect on the body when you take drugs. Studies have found that taking alcohol reduces the effect of drugs such as sedatives, sleeping pills, antidepressant and also some antibiotics..

So generally taking alcohol while on any medication is not recommended as this may seriously affect the effect of the drug in your body.

2. Coffee and other caffeinated drinks

Coffee has been proven to have a lot of serious effect on the body. Studies have found that taking coffee or any other caffeinated drinks could affect the effect of asthmatic drugs, anti anxiety drugs and other types of drugs which a person takes.

3. Grape fruit

Grape fruit has been found to be a fruit that affects the effect of several drugs. Some say it is because of the citrus juice in it. Studies have shown that it blocks enzymes in the body which metabolizes many drugs.

They said it could have serious effect on heart medicines and also drugs acting on the immune system.

4. Dairy products

Most diary products have been found to have a serious side effect on the body especially affecting the effect of antibiotics and several other types of drugs.
