Linda Mjola gets his first acting gig as he joins the cast of Showmax’s telenovela The Wife, playing the role of Langa.
The young man is famously known for his viral Tik Tok videos.
Speaking with Sun Buzz, he said: “The life experiences are also the same. I’ve had to navigate the difficulties of being a queer man in a room where people might not actually agree with my life and who I am.”
“But I hope that we are able to address certain issues on the show and that people can learn that a person is a person, regardless of their sexual orientation, race or religion. We need to start breaking those stigmas,” he said.
Linda expresses gratitude for the opportunity, knowing how far he’s come; he also spoke well of those he worked with on the telenovela set.
“I’ve had an amazing experience on set, working with some of the most talented people in Mzansi who have been in the industry for long. They have been very supportive and helpful in advising me on how to do things,” said Linda.
“I don’t take for granted the opportunity I have. I come from working in a trailer, cooking and preparing fries for people every day. Now to be here with kings and queens of their respectable fields, is an amazing opportunity for me.”
