DJ Tira says President Cyril Ramaphosa should open the country more, as people are dying of hunger.
SA’s Lockdown has been relaxed to Level 1 but with restrictions, especially on gatherings.
These rules are of no benefit to event organizers and music artists.
Addressing the issue in a video to Cyril, the Afrotainment CEO urged the President to ease the restrictions, so that organisers can host the usual 15 000 and 20 000 people instead of 2000.
“We are suffering as artists and event organisers. When is the country opening? We have limitations in terms of numbers. We can only host 2000 people, which end up being 1500 as there are services providers like technicians, suppliers and promo girls. Everyone that works at the event cannot be sold a ticket,” he said.
