Mfana Kah Gogo is a rising South African amapiano singer who is passionate about music.
The young artist whose real name is Sipho Mbonambi has songs like Bopha, Hlal’ethembeni and Kusazoshuba.
He blew up on Tik Tok with freestyling and just singing different songs, but this has favoured him as it helped garner the attention of music companies.
Mfana was born in Zwelibomvu near Kwandengezi, and as at 2021, he was 17-year-old.
He started singing since he was six year old in church with his grandmother, uGogo uMaMbonambi.
Sipho’s stage name Umfana kah Gogo came from his friends and people from his village because he was always around his grandmother. He was given the name at a young age but it has stuck with him until now.
In 2021, he signed a recording deal with Sony Music Africa, and it was huge for him.
He also debuted a single with the record label titled, Jabula, and it’s amassed an impressive number of success. The song can be regarded as his first major hit song.
The singer started off with doing hip hop and writing songs, but he jumped on amapiano over a year ago.
Mfana is still in school, but he desires to balance his studies and music career.
