SABC is mourning the loss of its employee, Thabo Katsande who dies on Friday, 11 March.
The deceased is a videographer and Lesedi FM presenter, who hosted a reggae show and current affairs programs died from heart complications at a hospital in Pretoria.
“The SABC News division in Bloemfontein is mourning the death of video journalist, Thabo Katsande. The 48-year-old died from heart complications at a hospital in Pretoria yesterday afternoon (Friday, 11 March),” they wrote.
“Among others, the award-winning Thabo also hosted the reggae show and current affairs programs at Lesedi FM. He has been with the SABC News for almost seven years. Funeral arrangements are yet to be finalised,” the statement continued.
Many of his friends and other colleagues have paid tribute to him.
