Pearl Thusi drags The Recording Academy for snubbing Wizkid at the 64th Grammy Awards.
The South African actress took to social media to express her disappointment at the organizers of the international award organizers.
“Wiz not winning a Grammy is just another reason I kinda don’t take the Grammys too seriously. It’s a celebratory/fun show with cool statues. African artists have proved they don’t need them but they’re nice to have. But also I could be wrong. That’s just me… all love,” she wrote.

The Nigerian star was nominated in the Best Global Music Performance category, recognizing new vocal or instrumental Global music recordings. He also received a second nomination in the Best Global Music Album category for albums containing at least 51% playing time of new vocal or instrumental Global Music recordings.
He didn’t win any of the categories, and Pearl Thusi including other Nigerians have taken to different social media platforms to vent their anger.
However, the star has taken to his Instagram stories to congratulate the African musicians that won – Black Coffee and Angelique Kidjo.
