Major League DJz have taken to social media to announce the return of one of their biggest event which is famously known as “Major League Gardens.”
The announcement about the event was made following the success of Cotton Fest 2022.
“Major League Gardens Loading….” they tweeted.
The League Gardens was one of the biggest hip-hop concerts in South Africa and it lasted for over 5 years.
“The ‘Major League Gardens’ is thee ultimate social festival filled with dance and summer madness. A shimmering outdoor funfair event with the freshest outdoor activities hosting among other things, a live stage featuring the best acts South Africa can offer. The festival hosted by young people for the sexiest young people in Jozi to experience crazy summer fun. A place where friends get together to usher in the finest season, through sounds of laughter and music for a day only,” hypresslive described in 2016.
However, the festival got halted after the DJz switched from hip hop genre to Amapiano which has catapulted them to performing in foreign countries, got them signed to an international record label and they will be hosting their first amapiano show at the O2 Arena, London.
Since the switch in genres, they’ve successfully created events like Amapiano Live Balcony Mix (Africa)/ (Xperience) and Piano City.
Will the return of the festival make the duo switch back to hip hop or the event will be a mix of amapiano and hip hop.
