DIY home remedies to try this season for natural sunscreen

1. With coconut oil and aloe vera

For this recipe, take 1/4 cup coconut oil, 2 (or more) tbsp. powdered zinc oxide, 1/4 cup pure aloe vera gel, 25 drops walnut extract oil and one cup (or less) shea butter. Now combine all the ingredients, except the zinc oxide and aloe vera gel, in a medium pan and let the ingredients melt on medium heat and then let them cool before stirring it in aloe vera gel. Let the mixture cool down completely before adding zinc oxide and then mix well. Store in a glass jar and keep in a cool, dry place before you are ready to use it.

2. With pomegranate oil and coconut oil

For this recipe take 10 drops of lavender essential oil, 1 tbsp. of pomegranate oil, 3/4 cup of coconut oil, 2 tbsp. of zinc oxide and 2 tbsp. of shea butter. In a pan, mix all the ingredients except the zinc oxide on medium heat. Once the ingredients are melted into a nice mixture, add the zinc oxide and stir well.

3. With carrot seed oil and coconut oil

For this recipe, take 1/4 cup of beeswax, 1/4 cup of raw shea butter, 1/4 cup of unrefined coconut oil 2 tsp cold pressed carrot seed oil, 2-3 tsp non-nano zinc oxide and 1 vitamin E capsule (optional). Melt the beeswax in a pan and then add the carrot seed, coconut oil, and shea butter on top of the beeswax. In case you are using vitamin E, add that as well. Once the mixture thickens, turn off the heat and add zinc oxide and mix well.
