Have you ever observed that right after the birthday celebrations or occasions, the leftover cakes don’t taste as good as they tasted for the first time?


Blame it on over indulgence or the monotony of eating the same thing again and again, it is certainly confusing to decide what to do with the leftover cake.

1. Cake pudding

To make a quick breakfast pudding using a dry cake. Cut them into slices and keep aside. In the meantime, take a non-stick pan and add 2 cubes of butter along with brown sugar as per taste. Once the sugar turns slightly brown, add 1 cup milk and ½ tsp vanilla essence and now place the cake slices, allow them to cook and turn soft. Serve the cake pudding with whipped cream and bon appetit!

2. Chocolate bombs

Looking for a quick boozy sweet? Then take a blender and add 200 grams of leftover chocolate cake, 30 ml rum, 1 tsp vanilla essence, 4 chocolate cookies and 3 tbsp melted butter. Mix it all and knead the dough for a minute, then roll small balls and refrigerate. In the meantime, using the double boiling method, melt 1 cup chocochip, dip the frozen choco balls and refrigerate again for 30 minutes. Enjoy.

3. ​Cake shake

Yes, this is the easiest way to make your shakes insanely delicious. Just blend in 1 cup of cold milk, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tsp coffee, 2 tbsp brown sugar. Blend this thrice and add ½ cup cake and blend twice. Lastly, you can place pieces of cake in a tall glass and pour the shake. Enjoy.

4. Layered pastry

If you have dry chocolate cake? Then you can surprise your kids with a delish homemade pastry. Divide the cake into 3 layers. Next, take a bowl and add 1 cup cold thick cream along with a 2tbsp cocoa powder, ½ cup brown sugar and whisk the mix till it turns foamy. Place the mix between the layers using a piping bag. Place a layer on the top and then garnish it the way you like. Refrigerate and relish.

You can reuse cakes by making them more indulgent. Take the cake and cut them in the shape of your serving glass. In the meantime, take ½ cup strawberry pulp, 1 cup low fat cream, ½ cup brown sugar and whisk it till it forms soft peaks. Layer the dessert, place the cake and add a layer of cream followed by a layer of strawberries and repeat the process thrice and enjoy.
