Benjamin Franklin said, “Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise”.

Turns out early bedtime is not just good for the health and well-being of the kids, but it’s good for their moms too.

It goes without saying that a healthy routine is the key to a healthy life.

However, owing to the increasingly hectic and unhealthy lifestyle of the parents, sometimes it is the kid’s schedule which takes the beating.

When it comes to catching enough shut-eye, it is important to understand that it is as crucial as eating healthy and exercising every day.

Moreover, sleeping on time and getting adequate sleep is not just important for the baby but also for the mommies.

What does science say?

According to science, mamas are happier when their little ones go to bed on time. To conduct the study, researchers evaluated the mental health habits and sleep schedule of certain families for two years. They found that the kids who went to bed by 8:30 pm on most nights showed better mental health and their moms were happier too.

Why did that happen?

It most likely happens because when kids go to bed on time, it allows their mothers more time to do things they want to do for themselves.
