Dineo Ranaka exits Kaya 959
Dineo Ranaka and Kaya FM have reportedly parted ways.
This comes after the radio personality opened up about her battle with depression which led her into a mental health institution, though her admission was brief as she discharged herself.
According to Sunday World Ranaka entered into mutual separation negotiations with her radio station, Kaya FM almost a year after she was employed to host the Breakfast show with Sol Phenduka.
The radio station replaced her with Sizwe Dhlomo and she’s currently on a healing journey.
Dineo Ranaka revealed that she is no longer suicidal but still battling depression.
“The biggest question is: is Dineo suicidal? The answer WAS yes but is now NO! It is NO because to break the curse I have to believe and say that I’m NOT!!!”
“I’ve recently been diagnosed with Severe Chronic Depression… I feel like I need to allow myself to re-introduce myself to MYSELF because I’ve been a high-functioning person with depression. And this is dangerous! VERY DANGEROUS!”
