Ami Faku shines on new Bob Marley’s posthumous album

South African star, Ami Faku features on the African Unite album, a project that pays homage to Bob Marley.

The Jamaican singer died at the age of 36 on the 11th of May 1981, after battling an illness.


Taking to social media, Ami revealed that she features on the posthumous album.

“Africa Unite is OUT NOW. This wonderful project that pays homage to @bobmarley ’s greatest hits. Thank you once again to those involved in this project,” she wrote.

The vocalist also acknowledged other African artist who delivered magic on the album.

Bob Marley’s daughter Cedella Marley said in a statement, “Africa Unite is an album that showcases the importance of Bob Marley in modern day Africa. The artists that feature on this album have reimagined Bob Marley’s classics in a way we know he would have loved and been proud of.”
