Why dry fruits?

Dry fruits are naturally loaded with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, which makes them a better alternative to fresh fruits. In fact, dry fruits have a higher concentration of nutrients as compared to fresh fruits. Right from boosting immunity to improving metabolism and providing satiety to improve the texture of skin and hair, gorging on a handful of dry fruits can help anyone attain a pink of health. Here are 5 simple steps to make dried fruits at home.

Step 1

Wash the fruits and soak them for 5-7 minutes before cutting.

Step 2

Cut them in thin slices or pieces, so that they take less time to dehydrate.

Step 3

Once done, take a large bowl and add water and mix it with lemon juice. Soak the fruits in lemon water for 5 minutes.

Step 4

Take it out and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Make sure you leave enough gaps in between the fruit slices. Meanwhile, preheat the oven.

Step 5

Lastly, let the fruit dehydrate for 25-30 minutes in an oven at 180-200 degree celsius. In case, there’s some moisture left, heat them for another 15 minutes. Take them out, let it dry and then store in an airtight container. Enjoy
