President Cyril Ramaphosa congratulates Black Coffee on his sold-out concert in New York

Black Coffee made his country people proud following the historic feat made in New York this past Saturday.

The DJ sold out the Madison Square Garden in NY.


People flooded social media with words of eulogy to the Grammy-award-winning star.

“Congratulations to Black Coffee for being the first South African DJ to perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City, USA, to a sold-out show this past Saturday. South African artists continue to distinguish themselves and promoting our talents on the global stage. We thank you for flying the national flag,” said Cyril Ramaphosa.

KwaZulu Natal premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube also celebrated Black Coffee, “On behalf of the people of KZN, we would like to join the rest of South Africans and the world in congratulating one of our own, DJ Black Coffee. He didn’t do it for us only as KZN but for the rest of the nation, Africa and beyond. We are very proud of him, his management, and the supporting artists who performed with him last night. Madison Square Garden is indeed a global theatre where artistic dreams are realised.”
