South African businesswoman and millionaire Shauwn Mkhize, also known as Mamkhize addressed being convicted of fraud and tax evasion on Carte Blanche.
The riveting episode which aired on M-Net, on Sunday, 21 April, raised a question on its social media post: “A millionaire businesswoman, a convicted fraudster, and alleged tax evasion… Does fame and fortune get you a clean slate?”
The reality TV star denied the fraud allegation despite evidence placed before her, while her lawyers stood still behind her.
“But it can’t be me because that wasn’t me… it’s the company,” she said as she distanced herself from the allegations.

The interview caused an uproar on social media with a few persons faulting her for attending the interview, as it was obvious that she threw herself under the bus.
