Director and actor Adrian Alper who portrayed the roles of Lesley in ‘Generations’ and Pastor Gammies in ‘7de Laan’ has died.
Actor Spaces confirms through a post on social media that the legendary actor has passed away.
TVSA reports that Alper played the role of Lesley Generations between 1993 and 1994 and secured the role of Sharky in Isidingo, in 1999 and again in 2001.
The comedian is also famously known for playing Calvin in the sitcom, Streaks in 1995 and recently portrayed the character of Pastor Gammies in SABC2’s canned soapie, 7de Laan.
Alper also starred in the theatre production, The Coolie Odyssey in 2003. IOL reported at the time that the actor played three different characters in the play.
The late actor told the publication: “I am excited to play three different characters with three different focuses. Not only do you have monkeys telling us about the past, but you also have gods appearing. It’s a powerful play and it reveals how people react in certain situations.”
