Everyone around us admires an individual filled with confidence and poise.

From our makeup to our clothes, to the accessories we carry, one should make sure you’re wearing the right fit and carrying the required look which should not look odd or awkward.

When we come to the affair of plus-size women, there are some mistakes one should avoid while opting for a choice of clothing.

Let’s take a look at some of the types of clothes plus-size models should stay away from.

1. Tube tops

One can opt for cold-shoulders, off-shoulder, or oversized crop shirts or tops, but never opt for a tube top as it would showcase your underarm fats which in turn makes you look bulky. As tube tops are usually super tight and only cover your breast area, they can reveal your underarm fat at times which can look awkward with skirts or jeans. You can either pair them with an oversized shirt on top.

2. Do not opt for mini skirts or shorts

Mini skirts or denim shorts make the curves look bulkier from the sides because of the curvy thighs. It might lead to an oops moment even if you’re wearing tights underneath the skirt. You can opt for pencil or office skirts which would perfectly cover your thighs and showcase your stylish side curves too.

3. Oversize baggy clothes

As baggy clothes are in trend, many fashion influencers are taking it a notch above and are opting for oversized baggy clothes which look awkward and puffy on already curvy or oversized individuals. Oversized baggy makes plus size girls look uneven with a messed up mark from the size and thus one should opt for baggy clothing that looks decent but not oversized baggy which would make one look awkward.

4. Low-waist jeans

If you are a plus-size model then do not wear low-waist jeans as it would showcase your belly and abdomen fat which might look absurd with a crop top look. High-waist pants or jeans look decent and cover the whole waist range, forming a tight cover around your abdomen area securing the fat inside the jeans with which you can also wear crop shirts or tops.

5. Avoid wearing full sleeves all the time

If you have a heavy bust or face, avoid wearing full sleeves all the time. Many girls opt for full-sleeved clothes to hide their shoulder fats which makes them insecure. However, full-sleeved clothes make you look more bulky. Try opting for half-sleeves or at times sleeveless and start showcasing your collarbone and neck area which will perk up your looks.
