Oatmeal is a staple breakfast coming with health benefits that are too long.

Consuming oatmeal is not the only thing to add to your everyday routine, you can use it on your skin as well.

Packed with protein and vitamin E, it helps reduce inflammation on your face and helps you look younger and fresher. As vitamin E is also an antioxidant, it protects your skin and keeps it moisturised at all times.

As one adds tons of things to their oatmeal while consuming it in breakfast, similarly there are tons of ways in which one can apply oatmeal on their skin and see the result and changes in a few weeks eventually.

Let’s try something new and effective following these below bowls of oatmeal on our faces.

1. Add oatmeal to your bath routine

Adding oatmeal to your warm bath water with a few scoops of baking soda and letting yourself into the tub for 15 minutes can help you get moisturised skin. You can also add oat milk and calendula to get a perfect and soothing bath that can bring you supple and smooth skin.

2. Create an oatmeal mask

To make your skin healthy and glowing, you need to add one cup of milk, one tablespoon of honey, with two cups of oats. Leave this mixture for 15 minutes on your face and then rinse it off with cool water and feel the soft and glowing skin.

3. Use an exfoliator

Exfoliation twice a week is very important, and oatmeal is known to be a great exfoliator with some honey and water, gently scrub it over your face for 5-10 minutes and then gently rinse it off with warm water, and then top it up with serum or moisturiser.

4. A cleanser for oily skin

If you have oily skin then boil one-third cup of water and mix in half a cup of oatmeal and let it cool. As a simple thick paste will be formed, use it on your face, keep it for 20 minutes, and then rinse it off with warm water, saying goodbye to oily skin.

Oatmeal thus protects your overall skin and cleanses it equally after a hectic day. It also boosts your collagen production, improves your skin complexion, and reduces skin inflammation. You need not use it every day, but twice a week usage of oatmeal on your face is more than enough.
