Janet Jackson will no longer perform at the DStv Delicious Festival 2024
Organisers of the DStv Delicious Festival announced cancellation of Janet Jackson’s performance following the passing of her brother.
“Following the passing of her brother, Tito Jackson, @JanetJackson will no longer perform at the DStv Delicious Festival as scheduled. We send our heartfelt condolences to her and the Jackson family during this incredibly painful time,” reads the post.
The American music star sparked excitement in the hearts of South Africans after she was announced as the headliner of the festival.
However, hearts have been left broken after she cancelled her performance.
Fans have flooded the post with demands for a refund, while sending condolences to Janet and her family.
“This is so unfortunate but for those who had bought to tickets for both days, are we able to get a refund if we no longer wish to go. In my case with my people we were going for Janet so, now that’s no longer an option is there option for us to get a refund for that?” a tweep wrote.
“Can we be refunded please. The reason we bought Saturday tickets was to see her. I would have bought Sunday tickets if I wanted to go on Sunday. This is crazy.”
