DJ Tira shares proof of Fact Durban Rocks ownership
DJ Tira, whose real name is Mthokozisi Khathi, has found himself at the center of controversy surrounding the ownership of the popular Fact Durban Rocks event.
Known as one of Durban’s premier New Year’s Eve celebrations, Fact Durban Rocks has been synonymous with DJ Tira since its inception.
However, claims made by controversial YouTuber Musa Khawula have sparked debate.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Khawula alleged that the event is not owned by DJ Tira but by Chad White.
“Meet the founder and owner of Fact Durban Rocks: Chad White. DJ Tira has merely been the face of the event since it began in 2011,” he wrote, sharing a photo of the purported owner.
In response, DJ Tira shared a document listing 10 companies where he is listed as a director, offering no further comment. Each company bore his name as its director.
However, the response drew mixed reactions.
