South African Kwaito veteran DJ Tira has once again found himself trending on social media, but this time not for his music.

The 48-year-old star was mocked online after a clip of him dancing outside a garage made its way onto X (formerly Twitter).

The short video, shared by user @ApheleleJody on Sunday, 28 September 2025, shows the Afrotainment boss energetically moving to the beat while dressed casually.

Instead of celebrating his moves, many netizens filled the comments with jokes about him “refusing to grow up.”

One user sarcastically wrote that Tira is always “acting as if he is still a young man.”

This moment of online roasting comes months after his son, Samkelo Shezi, revealed that he hit financial difficulties shortly after paying lobola for his fiancée, Mbali, in May 2025.

While some fans defended the DJ for enjoying himself, others insisted it was time for him to “act his age.”
